The Chinese are intent on being top dog in the world. They'll settle in the short term for Top dog in Asia with EVERYONE else in Asia kowtowing to them.
That's the main goal of their military might regardless of noise to the contrary--world domination.
I do indeed understand the apparent Chicom hankering to be the Alpha Dog. They are, however and for instance, short on electricity, a condition that will prevent top dogginess as long as it exists. Their recent rapid econ growth has hit the stone wall of power supply and seems to be moderating somewhat, probably because of that. They are currently building a booster power station that will run on natural gas, something they don't have, intended to run only in the summer, to supply the load caused by AIR CONDITIONING and the reefers they built during the Great Leap Forward. Altho I'm not a freak about it I do watch what they are actually building and buying---it's instructional-----
