Will this quote pass the truth/verification smell test?
"I was driving past the Pentagon when that plane hit" on Sept. 11, 2001. "I had friends on that plane; this is deadly serious to me," Begala said.

I don't care if this statement is true or not, it still reveals an incredibly shallow and petty attitude. This is one of the major differences between conservatives and liberals: this fool feels it necessary to view the attack on a personal level in order to have any reaction to it, whereas, I, as a patriotic conservative, who was in CA at the time and had no friends on the planes or in the towers, felt such outrage at the attacks on my country and my countrymen that the planes might as well have crashed in my neighborhood (in a larger sense, they did).

"I was driving past the Pentagon when that plane hit" Hey, if Bubba can see black churches burning, and be on the bus with Rosa Parks, and walk through Harlem when he was a student, then Begala can be driving past the Pentagon.
It's the thought that counts.
