I wasn't knocking small papers -- just pointing out that McCurtain Co., OK is not overflowing with the sort of resources (or readership) to support JD's efforts. Some census data:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
McCurtain, OK
Population (year 2000): 466, Est. population in July 2002: 459 (-1.5% change) Males: 228 (48.9%), Females: 238 (51.1%)
County: Haskell
Land area: 1.1 square miles
Median resident age: 33.6 years Median household income: $22,188 (year 2000) Median house value: $31,700 (year 2000)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My point was: Who does provide the wherewithal for JD & Roger to "do their thing"?

Did you ever stop to think that the McCurtain Daily Gazette is published in the county seat of McCurtain County, Idabel? I believe they have higher population than McCurtain, Oklahoma.

Did you ever stop to think that Mr. Cash is writing this without compensation? He is.

Did you ever stop to think that a writer doesn't have to write for a large, population based newspaper to add information to the issue? Truth does not lie only within the large and "elite."
