I refer you to the article in todays, USAToday. In a long term study designed to measure the effects of folate( or folic acid) on Alzheimer's, it was found to lower the risk by 55% at recommended dosages or above.

On a personal note, I started using coconut oil which has an amazing ability to clear my head and focus my thinking, a tablespoon per day or more. I drizzle it on toast. Louana is the brand I use, available at Walmart in the oil aisle.
