The only thing that had me worried is if Rove called Novak AFTER talking to Cooper...that would confirm the "peddling" angle.

But I thought, since Rove was 2 minutes away from leaving for vacation when he talked to Cooper would he really call Novak from his vacation?

Not only did he NOT call Novak after talking, he talk to Novak before...didn't instigate the call...and Novak already had the goods.
