here we go again - so why not substance abuse testing for politicians? -
GOP or Democrat?
D or R?
Well, alot of the people always say the Burbank City Council acts like they are on drugs.
However, in her info page, she says she tries to be non-faction (partisan?), which could have made her prone to being set up.
Also, it's not nice to be a Republican in Burbank, so they could be sending her to re-education camp.
I am not sure....her father was a long time judge in Burbank.
Wow
The dope might belong to the kid(s).
Her dealer or people she used with must have turned her in.
And then the Police and/or DA had to decide to pursue the lead.
Or maybe she's supplementing her thin government compensation package, dealing herself?
Soon we will hear the charges?
Authorities Also Arrest Former Mayor's Companion For Firearms, Narcotic Violations

BURBANK, Calif. -- A Burbank city councilwoman was in custody Thursday on suspicion of cocaine possession and child endangerment, in connection with an investigation by a street gang task force, police said.
Councilwoman Stacey Jo Murphy, 47, was arrested late Wednesday night at her home, where authorities served a federal search warrant, said Burbank Police Sgt. Jay Jette.
Earlier Wednesday, her "longtime companion," Scott Schaffer, 51, was arrested for federal firearms and narcotic violations, during a search of his Glendale home, Jette said.
Robert Polloreno, 54, who lives with Schaffer, was arrested for "grand theft firearm" and was held on $50,000 bail at the Burbank city jail, Jette said.
Murphy was being held at Burbank city jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, while Schaffer and was taken to a federal custody facility, Jette said.
Personnel from the Burbank Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives served the warrant at Schaffer's home, Jette said.
The warrant was based on information provided by the "Vineland Boys Task Force," a multi-agency law enforcement organization formed to combat the violence of the Vineland Boys street gang, which operates in the San Fernando Valley, Jette said.
The task force members served a federal search warrant at Murphy's home and arrested her, Jette said.
The task force includes personnel from the ATF; the Burbank, Glendale and Los Angeles police departments; the Internal Revenue Service; and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
According to the city of Burbank Web site, Murphy has three children, ages 18, 16 and 10. She has been on the Burbank council since 1997, serving as mayor in 1999-2000 and in 2003-04, and was re-elected earlier this year to another four-year term.
Murphy previously served on the city's Parks and Recreation Board and currently serves on the Southern California Association of Governments' Airport Subcommittee. She works as a controller for a transportation company, according to the Web site.
The Vineland Boyz Task Force is a direct result of Burbank PD officer Pavelka's murder by one of their gang members.
