So you're saying that people in the State Dept. and the CIA would leak classified information to the NY Times in order to get Karl Rove? If that's what you're saying, then I guess I understand. Although it would have to pretty new classified information, since Karl Rove still has his security clearance, which I would expect is higher than anyone at least in the State Dept. I don't get my other point, which is why should Judith Miller fear testifying that she told the White House that Plame worked for the CIA?

Actually, they would attack Rove to get at the president.

Just some info: Confidential, Secret and Top Secret are the only security clearances. There are "caveats" that allow access to certain info/programs. There are no special super-secret White House clearances/caveats.
