And if semitic (meaning: of Shem) were to pertain to language (which it does not) as argued by anti-semitic academics, then the language of Shem has been around for much longer than claimed by Canaanites (Phoenician Europeans). Ishmael’s mother was descended from Ham. Rome has obviously married in much with descendants of Ham.
