That has shifted north from previous tracks...
She's getting very close to where Dennis started out. The ridge is forecast to be stronger this go around, so we shall see just how far north she can get. I still think she hits the Yucatan at some point, but we will have to wait and see if that will be the end of her.. or if she can manage to scoot between the Yucatan and Cuba. Storms that start at this latitude generally have a hard time coming north, but Dennis managed to, even without a strong trough. The real question will be the ridge currently centered off the TX coast. If that stays there, the chances of this storm hitting the U.S. are slim.
This is NOT good news.
