SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Islamic leaders and peace groups are criticizing the California National Guard (search) for a flier posted in its headquarters suggesting the United States execute Islamic terrorists with bullets dipped in pig's blood to deny them entry to heaven.

Will a bullet still fire if its dipped in blood (or any liquid)?

One might expect that it will fire bloody, muddy, or half cruddy. I never fail to be amazed. Avail yourself of a firing range and send a couple of hundred rounds downrange. Better yet cap a few off in a rainstorm...you'll feel great in the morning.

Actually, the pig blood bit is a great idea! What Muslim would risk getting hit with a U.S. bullet? They might actually back off in defeat. It's surrender, or "All their soul are belong to us."

That would be a great "Ask the Imam" question - "Dear Imam, I am planning to be a suicide bomber. I have some military explosives that I heard were made from pork fat. Are they Haraam?"

When I was a kid, there was a rendering plant out side of town that took in dead animals of all kinds and all stages of decomposition. When they aired out the vats after a batch, by the smell you would think the gates of Hell opened up. I wish that smell could be bottled up and sent off the to the potential goons with a note, "This substance is part of the explosives your about to use."
