Boy, lucky we had Sarbanes-Oxley to prosecute this guy. < /sarcasm>

Excuse my dubiety, but is that true about Ebbers vs. the CBF?

I've never heard that, and I live in MS.

I would be interested in seeing the explanations they come up with.

2 examples I was given was if someone went for their MBA part time while there, they would leave out AA and just say they went to school, or use examples of "family time" i.e. stayed home with the kids.

I didn't get into details since it was really ackward, but they told me they could get very "creative".....my joke about "isn't this how you guys got into trouble in the first place" did not go over well with them folks.

Where did Barksdale (or Palmer) the wealthy come down on the issue?

Unless I missed it, I never saw anything about restitution to those who lost money because of Ebbers' criminal actions? Quite honestly, I really don't care whether Ebbers ever spends one day in prison as long as he lives the rest of his life penniless. I would be OK with 5 years of hard time if all of the fortunes that is in the Ebbers estate is returned to those who he bilked......

But, as it goes in the liberal world, he will keep his fortunes, he will probably remain free pending appeal, and he will probably win the appeal if he can stuff enough pockets at the appeals level!!!

Does anyone know who the POSs who wrote letters on Ebbers behalf?

You don't have any friends who might stand up for you if you got into a whole heap of trouble?

Looking at the statement again it seems harsh. Thanks for pointing it out.

If there is any justice, he'll be raped as badly physically as the people he raped financially.

I'll pass on your idea of "justice," thank you very much.
