Securing essentials *like* reliable, cheap energy source(s), providing national security, and perhaps most important protecting a nation's information source(s) sound pretty sane to me.
Providing said nation possesses a serious desire to survive, that is.
See any of our leaders doing any *one* of these kinds of things to protect our culture here in the USA?
