Israel Enters Palestinian Town, Killing 2
AP on Yahoo ^ | 7/12/05 | AP - Jerusalem

JERUSALEM - Israeli forces entered the Palestinian town of Tulkarem early Wednesday, killing two Palestinian police officers who opened fire on troops carrying out an arrest raid in response to a suicide bombing hours earlier, the army and Palestinian security officials said.

The army's raid on Tulkarem effectively means Israel has taken back control of the town it handed over to the Palestinians under the terms of a cease-fire declared in February. The raid targets Islamic Jihad, the group responsible for Tuesday's suicide bombing, which killed three Israelis.

You have to wonder how effective the Palestinian police are when they help terrorists resist arrest. How corrupt in other ways are they as well?

An arrest raid...it seems like such a tepid response. The Palestinians send in a suicide bomber that kills 3 Israelis. The Israelis then go and arrest someone.

And the press makes it sound like the arrests are the same as the terror attack.

If a rocket comes from some Palestinian enclave the Israelis should immediately level the town with all palis in the town.
Do that a couple of times and maybe the violence stops.
To hell with "world opinion".

Israel Enters Palestinian Town, Killing 2

That just plain terrible. They just entered a town and killed two people.

two Palestinian police officers who opened fire on troops

Oh never mind.

Now if I were writing the headline it would be:

Two Palestinian Police paid for by American Tax Dollars open fire on Israelis who were on a mission to fight terrorism

But I'm biased.

Screw this. I am tired of the nickel and dime crap.

Either it is war, or it isn't. Run through the towns, kill all who resist, deport those who don't.

If these "people" were in power it would have been done to the Jews already. Only a sick mind could repeatedly send their loved ones into situations like this and accept the status quo after.

Where is the strong leader who can stand up and do this? It is time for him to step forward.

The problem is the Israeli politicians keep flip flopping over all these decades between a tough stance and accommodation with the enemy. Accommodation was tried in the Jewish Ghetto in Poland and it resulted in mass extermination. Maybe part of the trouble is that anti-semitism is so irrational that many Jews are in denial about its existence. Many WANT to believe the good intentions of their enemies.

It tends to get one killed shooting at the IDF. The fact that the terrorists were in Uniform means that they were not actually terrorists according to the Geneva conventions, they were a members of a hostile army. According to international Law, Israel has the right to declare war flatten the town.

Good thing Jews are a lot nicer than Arabs.

I think the reality is the opposite of GW Bush’s rhetoric. There are a FEW Moslems we can trust and a FEW decent Palestinians. The majority are the problem. A lot of the hate being preached by Moslem clerics in America is not only to kill Jews but also collaborator Palestinians – which I take to mean any Palestinian who does support Jihad.
