Clinton was a bitter Parisian president. He was always campaigning against the GOP while chasing little girls.

The Bush Familee Kreed: "Be close to your friends, but be even closer to your enemies." (posted on 06/27/2005 10:49:43 PM EDT by CaptainPaintball)

...and it just seems that on occasion the administration here is far more friendly to its enemies than it is to its friends. It does appear that way. I don't know why he's meeting with these people. It's not going to change what the Democrats say about him. It's not going to change how they act in the Senate. It's not going to change a thing --

Here's why, El Rushbo. Because he CAN. It's the easy thing to do. So he does it. It means NOTHING, and takes NO RISK to "stand up" to GOOD. It means EVERYTHING and RISKS EVERYTHING to stand up to EVIL.

Rush will be invited to the White House for some care and feeding,as soon as his drug business is resolved.

Bushes know how to salve the pressure points.

O'Neil, liberal as he was, was nowhere near the hate-filled obstructionist as a Daschle, Reid, etc.
He still hated Republicans but he had the power so it didn't show...Reagan was extremely popular. The then Democrats, hated yet respected that.

We would have gotten rid of Specter in 2004 primary if it hadn't been for outside interference.....(you know who's)

yes, it was a seriously flawed decision to back the socialist Specter. If Bush doesn't nominate someone like Janice Brown, then he will seriously impede the efforts to save this Republic from a certain death. The Rep leadership, especially in the Senate is beneath contempt. They have no true understanding of History, no true understanding of the pure evil of socialism and above all, a complete inability to lead and make the hard decisions to cut back government. The only valid indicator that Liberty will ascend once again in this Republic is if Federal, State and local government spending, employment and regulations decrease from year to year, over many years. The government parasite class is killing the capitalist system that made this country great. An example of the utter insanity of government is this simple example: In some cities, the government parasite class has no problem saying one must have a permit if replacing over 9 square feet drywall. How can the desk jockeys in government pass such ridiculous rules with a straight face is beyond comprehension. The parasite class at all levels in our Republic purposely inflicts more misery on a daily basis to the hard working citizenry than our enemies abroad. I see absolutely no indication that the Reps will take any action necessary to save this Republic. Heck, the spending under Bush has exploded and shows no sign of abating. The Liberals should be happy; by the most important indicators, they are winning.

>>>>Rush seems to becoming increasingly frustrated.

Most conservatives are becoming increasingly frustrated with PresBush.

While the President has done a remarkable job in prosecuting the WOT and while his tax cuts for American workers advanced a major component to the agenda of the conservative movement, the President has failed to hold down social spending and limit the growth of the federal bureaucracy.

If the President doesn't stick to his word and nominate conservative jurists to the USSC who are in the mold of Scalia and Thomas, he will have let down conservatives once again.

"3. Lack of comments regarding imminent domain most recently."

It's not surprising that the President has not spoken against eminent domain (not "imminent domain", although it is certainly imminent). He's used it when it served his business interests. He cannot condemn it now.

It's an outrage, and he can't even make a meaningless rhetorical stand. Disgraceful.

Can anyone say "Third Party", little boys and girls?

Just who do you suggest? Surely not Michael Peroutka. He is not a viable candidate. Have you every listened to him speak? I mean come on. I would support a Third Party candidate but it would have to be someone that would be ready and willing to really campaign and show enthusiasm. The candidate would have to do more to earn my vote that just speak on a few conservative radio shows. How could Peroutka persuade people to vote for him when in my opinion he has no passion or zeal.

Why don't have confidence in Bush keeping his promise? Because rumor after rumor seems to confirm he is seriously considering Gonzales as a candidate for the Supreme Court and Republican Presidents appointed O'Connor, Kennedy and Souter to the courts.

Says who? You. I'm not so sure your analysis is correct. Give me a recent example or two. I use to have the same mind set but not anymore. I hope I am wrong and you are right. Our President has more than disappointed me. I mean he has seriously disappointed me. He isn't even a fiscal conservative as I know fiscal conservatism.

"It means EVERYTHING and RISKS EVERYTHING to stand up to EVIL."

One more question for you please. Just WHAT is President Bush risking when he courts the liberal socialistic war mongering left? As it all plays out he merely ends up disarming the faithful, hard working grassroots get out the vote, voting base. All of his posturing is ambiguous to say the least. I'm truly beginning to think that when Abraham Lincoln said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time” has some REAL merit with this Administration.

Much easier to vote The Democratic Crime Syndicate into extinction. (Why would anyone other than a enabler vote for these SCUM?)

The Republicans control everything for a couple of election cycles and if they CANNOT CONSTITUTIONALLY govern or are exposed as SOCIALIST light...a new party emerges rapidly. Within 3 or 4 election cycles both parties are history. It's a win/win for we the people.

The obvious task at hand is to vote The Democratic Crime Syndicate into extinction.

Here in the Keys people routinely spend up to $250,000 for a "building permit", we have govt. out of control down here and getting worse by the day.

I agree, the term limit idea was fantastic in my eyes.

It is very hard to replace a person of one party with another from the same party.

Give me a recent example or two

As far as "standing up" to his friends, I can think of 2 recent example of the President actively attacking his own base. Bush recently criticized conservatives for daring to questioning Alberto Gonzalez. He, as far as I recall, has NEVER acted that way to Democrats. Before that, in a press conference with the guy who must have naked photos of his daughters, (Vincente Fox) he calls the Minuteman Project "vigilantes," thereby demonstrating his fecklessness and lack of vocabulary.

Although, now that I think of it, his sunggling up to his ememies IS, in my opinion, a form of attack on his Conservative base. It is, at least, a blow to the confidence and psyche of his supporters. For example: He invites Ted Kennedy to "movie night" at the WH, and a few days later the fat bastard starts trashing him. All the buddy-buddying with Bill Clinton two weks ago gets what? Hil-liar-y likening him to Alfred E. Neuman from Mad Magazine.

These things send extremely mixed signals to his party, and cause division. It is not the fault of the people who disagree with him for the division in the party, for they are the ones standing up for the core values of the party.

"I'm sick of "strategery."And so is Rush"

The "strategery" is becoming quite indefensible at this point. Rush can no longer use the 'triangulation' argument. He's said twice in the past two days that he's "getting tired of carrying the water for this administration". THAT'S what I want to hear Rush!!!!

It's about time these lazy fake conservatives in power stop relying on talk radio to do this continual cheerleading for them, when they stab us and the guys in talk radio in the back at almost every turn.
