Dick Cheney DID NOT send Wilson to Niger!!!! That is the whole point of this...Cheney didn't even know Wilson had gone until someone asked him about it after the fact. Tenet didn't send Wilson, either!!
Someone lower down in the CIA cooked up this trip; my guess is Plame's boss (who conveniently resigned after the story broke)at the instigation of Plame.
Cheney had nothing to do with this whatsoever.

And Wilson lied about Cheney's involvement. When this whole thing started, there aim was Dick Cheney, it wasn't until Cheney set the record straight that they went after Rove.
I think when Dick Cheney said that the insurgency was in it's death throws, I think he actually meant the Democrat Party

If this was lower down in the CIA, did it occur to anyone that Niger may have had a motivation to HIDE the fact that it had dealings (or plans to deal) with Iraq? It seems like there is a lot of credulence in the CIA...
