My brother is a medic on many of these med-evac flights. Mostly the patients come from Germany, with soldiers from in-theater being treated at field hospitals, then flown to Germany, then once they're stabilized, transported to DC. Logistics is exactly right, as they leave Germany during the day and obviously arrive in DC in the evening (it's what, 10-11 hours in the air? not to mention time transporting each patient from hospital bed to the plane), offloading from the planes and then being transported to Walter Reed. But I guess these Code Pink-O's prefer to see sinister motives in everything.

Mostly the patients come from Germany,

Yes, as soon as I hit post I remembered the Germany connection. Thank you for the clarification.

But of course.

Please extend my gratitude to your brother for his service.

The reason for these take off and landing times also depend on fuel use and air traffic. These times are worked out so that the aircraft are facing the least headwinds of the day and less crowded air corridors. Of course considering that would cause the lefties to think, something they avoid at all costs.
