yes, it had nothing to do with Cooper wanting to protect his source but, rather, to protect the smoking memo that proves the press was in cohorts with Wilson in all this lying and that it was he, Cooper, who called Rove, and not the other way around, as they (and Time Magazine + others) had always sought to portray. Lucky that the judge forced the truth to come out here because these lying press people would have done everything they could to keep the truth from ever seeing the light of day, just like they're continuing to lie about the whole thing to this very moment!
Re#13 Well said. I guess they figured they could just spin it, i.e., Isikoff's "we obtained an e-mail" story in a sister magazine which has turned into the get Rove circus of the past two days. My hope of hopes is that Fitzgerald is as disgusted as us and will do the right thing in a very public way....
