I am the same w/photoshop. that is why I often use picture it. I have photoshop6 (I think newer ones are out).

Yes, I have 7 and I think my husband has 9(?). But there isn't really all that much difference between the upgraded programs, I don't think.
I love PhotoShop, but I know that I am only using a few of the features. I am still learning new things all the time, like colorizing.
