Thanks for your thoughtful post.

Please do continue to offer your essays, as brainstorming the what-ifs is integral to TM.

The London bombings were timed to upstage the G-8 summit, which IMO, was effective.

Also, IMO....that the bombing originated at "King's Crossing" named after King George (IV? I think) was
no subtle coincidence.

Qaeda knows if they use WMD, we will too....and there's no doubt in my mind that we would. Subsequently, they know that our WMD's are bigger than theirs.

Italy, the Netherlands and Australia are on alert and probably next on the list.

Italy, probably before their election primary in October.

They will try to hit us again...

So groceries and other supplies are a good idea.

Freeper appalachian dweller has an excellent supply list on his home page.

I respectfully disagree. The bombings were timed with the G-8 summit because the security apparatus would be greatly concentrated on the other end of the island while they made their last movements around town in the week or so before the bombings. Al Qaeda doesn't give a crap about the G-8 as a body, so I don't think this was a political statement. They want to terrorize private citizens and this was the window of opportunity to act when the least possibility of drawing the heat existed.
