The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

When I was in high school, my history teacher, who was Jordanian, was a rabid supporter of the Palestinian cause and tried to recruit me into the Arab-American Association, just because I am of Lebanese descent (gotta love the protest babes!). He assumed that I would think like him, although one of my best friends at the time was a Jewish kid in my class. I had more in common with him than I did with "Ali".

I can very easily see this kind of recruitment happening on an even more sinister scale these days.

Police investigating suspicious container in Princeton; Iowa man in custody

PRINCETON, Illinois – A bomb squad has been called in to investigate a suspicious container found in a van at a Princeton gas station.

Police say a man drove into a Shell station just off of the Interstate 80 / Illinois 26 interchange around 3:30 a.m. The station’s manager says the man told the attendant on duty that he had explosives and that he was going to Washington.

A truck driver tipped off police to the van. Police say the driver heard talk over CB radio about the van. He saw the van in Walcott, Iowa and followed the van roughly 80 miles until the van pulled into the Shell station.

While searching the van, police came across a suspicious container and called a bomb squad from Springfield. The Secret Service is also investigating the incident.

The van’s driver, Terry Daniel, 44, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was taken to the Bureau County Jail.

Sounds like this guy was a nut case. If he was serious I don't think he'd be telling anyone what he was up to.

Clyde is absolutely GREAT. That dog has greatly enriched my life. I spend almost every waking moment walking, petting, grooming, or training him (he's really smart and is picking up things fast).

He's an excellent watch dog. Someone pulled into the private parking lot out front of my place and Clyde sprung into action, barking loudly. He's BIG dog (70-80lbs) and his substantial bark is enough to give event the meanest criminal pause. I sleep very well at night knowing Clyde is on the job. Of course, I still keep the .357 magnum on the night stand.

Interviewed neighbors of the English terrorists appeared shocked of their involvement. Wonder how many are among us and whether it will take attacks on us for our government to begin profiling ME immigrants and citizens despite political correctness such as held the British back. Lives are in the balance. The terrorists have ACLU and CAIR to protect them.

Thanks for the ping. Thread looks great. You all have been busy. Due to the death of my father-in-law in late May in another state and being out of the loop for the month of June I am about 2000+ posts behind.

We were on vacation in Las Vegas last week while all the London carnage was going on. The news was reporting that the authorities have stepped up security in Vegas due to the London bombings. The news stations showed some folks getting off of planes and were being told of the bombings. A few was trying desperately to get a hold of loved ones with no luck.

Keep up the good work Terror hunters so we can avoid being like those getting off the planes.
