And the MSM run to the most partisan hacks they could find, and help them slip the noose around their own necks, and tighten, ever so slowly.....

"With the White House silent, Democrats rushed in, demanding that the administration provide a full account of any involvement by Mr. Rove,"

Isn't that what the taxpayers are paying this investigation for?

BTW, why not demand Newsweek release the complete Cooper e-mail?

"A covert agent is defined as someone whose identity is classified information and who has served outside the United States within the last five years."

Anyone know if that applies?

If he is a republican and Bush aide, convict then try. If he is a terrorist, try before convicting.

And these sicko liberals want to be taken seriously?

Buried in the last paragraph of the hit piece:

There has been some dispute, moreover, about just how secret a secret agent Ms. Wilson was.

"She had a desk job in Langley," said Ms. Toensing, who also signed the supporting brief in the appeals court, referring to the C.I.A.'s headquarters. "When you want someone in deep cover, they don't go back and forth to Langley."

Who cares? The NYTimes has become irrelevant, taken seriously only by the left. Their rants and raves are not taken any more seriously than those of Air America.

Two years and the NYT still can't tell us if Plame is or is not a "covert agent" as defined in the law. Now of course, the NYT lawyers claim "no crime" was committed in their defense of Jumpsuit Judy Miller.

As a Doctor I prescribe "Journalistic Viagra" for the limp ones known as reporters at the New York Times.

So, are we to assume that the wheels fell off of the Great Tom DeLay Smear Campaign of '05, or do the dems just suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder?

Man, if I was the press, I would be scared to death right now.

If you watch this White House closely, when they are wrong, they flat out say so in one of these press briefings. I have heard them say "Well, we thought it was this, but after further review we've decided it was more like this" kind of statements.

When they are right, they say "We covered that yesterday and we stand by what we said."

But when they don't say anything...when they let something just hang there, taunting you, begging you to reach out and grab it with both hands...YOU are in DEEP and everlasting doo-doo.

And the press STILL hasn't learned.

I haven't followed the story very closely, but i get this feeling that the White House is acting like B'rer Rabbit in this case and telling B'rer Fox (the Dems and MSM) not to throw them in the briar patch. This Rove flap will turn out to be nothing, and the usual screaming, nitwit subjects will have egg on their faces.

This is blaten yellow journalism retaliation for the pathetic lies of the reporters.

The spy was KNOWN the only people who did not know must have been the NYT.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/993741/posts?page=222 a compilation.

the real story is not this third rate badly kept non-secret. The real story is the NYT is making up stores AGAIN.

The NYT is the story NOT Rove. The only thing the NYT can do is simply close its doors, it serves no function. A cheep romance novel published 30 years ago is more up todate and truthful than the NYT.

Let the media do their thing. Its going to make so much more sweeter, when no one from the WH gets indictied. Seriously, they are going to have so much egg on thier face, like they have had in the past.

This will blow over once Fitzy has finished his case, and will be old news just like the downing street memo or torture photos.

The more fuss the MSM makes now, is the more stupid they will look.

The only thing I would asked for people here, is when the prosecuter finishes his case and NO ONE gets indicited, we should ask the media to say sorry to Rove, not before hand , but after.

That is going to be a great day.

If it wasn't so coarse and laden with BS, the NY Times would make great toilet paper.

"The lesson of history for George Bush and Karl Rove is that the best way to help themselves is to bring out all the facts, on their own, quickly," Mr. Schumer said, citing the second-term scandals that have beset previous administrations."

It's big, I tell ya! Bigger 'n Watergate. Bigger 'n Teapot Dome. Bigger 'n Fannie Fox, the 900 FBI files, Whitewater and Chinese cash for defense secrets (not that we're saying those last three ever really happened). It's big, I tell ya. So big, it's gonna bring this administration down! An era of infamy. The destruction of the ever-growing conservative majority. It's all gonna be destroyed.

Then the publisher of the New York Times knelt down beside his desk...making sure the blinds were drawn, so no one could see him, and said, very softly (so no one nearby might hear him: Please...um, whomever I pray to, not that I really pray...let it happen this time, please? We just can't take it anymore. No matter what we do, whom we lie to, or whom we pander to, our power just keeps slip, slip, slipping away. So, please...okay, I'll say it...uh, er, God: Just take down Bush for us, and we'll call a moratorium on removing religious statements from the public square for...a whole year.

Thunderous voice from above: Would you be willing to give up abortion?

The publisher is thrilled; his prayer will be answered. Yes, he says, yes! You make sure Bush is humiliated, and hounded out of office, and the Republicans look like idiots, and of course we'll give up abortion. Then he asks: But for how long?

Pure thunder: Wrong answer!

And the NY Times Building is incinerated in a nanosecond.

LOL!!!

Without "comments" from Rove and/or the White House, the scumbags at the NY Times don't know how they are supposed to fashion their LIES. (Same old story.) There's something nagging at them deep inside and they just can't stop gnashing their teeth.

There will be "comments" alright - - once the bait has been devoured and the trap is sprung.
This is all too funny for words.

As usual, the NYT is lying. I saw the video tape of the President answering the question two years ago. He said that if someone in his administration was involved in the leak, he would "take care of it". He did not say they would be fired. Trying to pump this up into a embarrassment for the President and Karl Rove is what this is about, and they should be ashamed of themselves when we are at war and London was just blown up.
