Bob Woodward is a straight shooter in my opinion, and I have defended him each and every step of the way, although Howlin thinks he lied about interviewing Casey on his death bed.

Its not surprising. Woodward may be many things but he is not a "rabid" liberal.

I would have. Aside from the fact that Woodward is exactly right in what he is saying here, Rove gave Woodward the greatest opportunity any reporter has ever had --- i.e. to literally "sit in" and report on the War Council in the weeks after 9-11.
Woodward owes Rove's trust in him big time.
