LONDON, England (CNN) -- Web designer Alfie Dennen had called in sick and was at home in London when the bombers struck across the city's transport network on Thursday morning.

"But the simple act of defiance is as far as Dennen says he wants people to go. He does not want to see political or militaristic messages on the site or any move towards a backlash against parts of society."
Then he is a PART OF THE PROBLEM!! I'm glad he and posters on his site feel a spirit of defiance, but without constructive determined ACTION to crush the terrorists this is only an exercise in "feel good" decadence. So many in the west think it's enough to cop an attitude of "we defy the terrorists" without supporting actions to crush the terrorists. Why are there so many Islamo-fascists still living openly in the UK???? (or here, or in so many countries that should know better)
His attitude reminds me of co-workers I had in Manhattan after 9/11 (I was living there at the time and working high up in a mid-town skyscraper). For a few months after 9/11 there was a great spirit of determination, ala "don't let the terrorists win" but soon enough many of my co-workers were circulating emails mocking Bush, etc. We weren't too far into 2002 before many people like this saw George W. Bush as the great threat to the world's peace, and not the Islamo-fascists who had slaughtered nearly 3,000 neighbors just a few months before. I suppose I'm glad there is such a website of 'defiance' but it's a pretty vapid defiance to just declare "we are not afraid" without also forming a determination to root out and crush the forces that are sponsoring such terrorist assaults on humanity and civilization.
Have been there. Cool site.
It should be titled 'youshouldbeafraid.com'.. Of the west. This is just silliness.
"Taking out Iran and Syria would be real defiance"
Exactly! All the "feel good" exercises in the world are just a distraction (or worse) from the real tasks at hand. If the creator of this website absolves himself of all responsibility to consider any 'political' never mind 'militaristic' responses to the networks of terrorists across the globe then he is still living in the leftist dreamworld. Crushing Iran and Syria would be a good start, but the peaceniks are aghast at the very suggestion.... is it 'militaristic' to want to protect ourselves and our descendants from being swallowed up in an Islamist hellhole of dhimmitude or death? [Patrick Henry did not say "Give me dhimmitude or give me death"]
