In London, terrorists soil the nest

ATTACKS WILL SHARPEN SCRUTINY ON LAX HANDLING OF ITS RADICALS

By Lynne O'Donnell

LONDON - For years, those in diplomatic and security circles have referred to England's capital as ``Londonistan'' because of the large number of radical Muslims -- including acolytes of Osama bin Laden -- who have used the city as their base and because of the British government's reluctance to silence them.

By allowing people to settle in London and use the country's liberal values as a protective umbrella for openly preaching jihad, the British government came to be regarded by some diplomats and terrorism experts across the world as an international center of terrorism.

I have had animus against the UK since the Bosnian/Kosovo conflicts when Blair openly allowed (and advised Clinton to do likewise) jihad recruitment to Bosnia and Chechnya and beyond. When will we hold the political leaderships from the 90s accountable for their collusions with Islamists?

They (and we) should take citizenship away from any person who advocates terrorism and ship them to the muslim country of their choice.

Advocating the downfall of the country you live in should be grounds for immediate deportation.

Do you hold the political leadership from the 80s accountable for their collusion with Islamists?

No - because that would mean we were accountable for Stalin's crimes in WW2. In the 80s we were fighting a war.

In the 90s, we had no enemies - the Third Way Socialist leadership that ruled the West at that time openly sided and helped Islamist forces against nations that were not at war with any Western nation and were not a threat to us in a 'Cold War' like situation.

That you can not see this point and bring up the 80s (I think as a way to support those scum from the 90s like Blair and Clinton) is your shame and burden.

An impressive rationalization, even for you.

A big problem these guys now have is that they blew up a bunch of British muslims. Condemnation has been universal, even the crazies of the Muslim Association of Britain, who have all kinds of dodgy ties to militants in the middle east have issued a really strong condemnation, they called the bombings "heinous and repulsive" and urged Muslims to help the emergency services and police.

Right now, that is an opportunity. We obviously have an active service unit on the loose and if they didn't flee the country after this initial operation, they'll keep doing this kind of stuff until stopped.

As a Brit who spends a lot of his working life on public transport, and was very happy to give up wondering if I was going to die every time I stepped on it after the IRA went out of business, I want to see these guys looking up the gun-barrels of the SAS as soon as possible. We need British muslims 100% onside, so the perpetrators have no safe zone to hide in and so far the signs are surprisingly positive that this will happen.

Every idiot who firebombs a mosque, and a few have, makes the termination of this active service unit less likely.

I hope it will. However, I'm skeptical -- the so-called Muslim moderates are, IMO, intimidated by the nutter Muslims everywhere, including the US and Spain.

The week before the bombing, there was a gathering of both Shiia and Sunni clerics and scholars in Jordan. The purpose of the gathering was to provide a united front to go after these terrorists. One of their decisions was to disallow fatwahs being handed out by anyone not authorized to issue fatwahs.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see fatwahs being issued from this group against the terrorists.
