Criminal trespass is legal language for things like breaking a car window and stealing from the car.

The best place for this fellow to be is behind bars.

Some may argue that he costs money to incarcerate, but he probably got away with stealing a lot more from society than what he was ever charged with. If he was a drag on society to the tune of more than $25K a year, who is to say we don't get a savings by keeping him locked up?

Responsibility for your self and your actions has to play a role at some point. Since this fellow simply dismissed his responsibility for anything he now has a new definition imposed by society.

or just destroying more than he ever stole. A dozen car windows adds up fast.

Hear hear! This man speaks wisdom. To calculate the true cost of a habitual offender on the outside, multiply his rap sheet by the inverse of the local cop shop's solution rate - which is often in the single digits. He could very well do more than $25k of damage per year.
