The Koran also tells one to show mercy to the weak, not to deliberately target them as terrorists do. It also instructs one to show honor to the Jew and Christian on account of them worshiping the same God; so it is unclear in the Koran if by "unbeliever" they meant Jews and Christians. It is also a bit presumptuous to say that 99% of a Billion people have less knowledge about what their holy book says than you. Have you read the entire Koran, or just the juicy bits? Have your read it in Arabic (translation isn't allowed, and considering the history of the Bible that seems a good policy)? Have you read the theological musings of any Koranic scholar other than Osama Bin Lauden, because you and he seem to be of the same mind on the subject.

I understand. However it's hard to reconcile that with the idea that they can kill 'unbelievers' wherever they find them. I have seen too many Imams say "no we don't worship the same God" (I have to agree with them there...) for those statements you made to give me much assurance. :-\

The Old Testament instructed the Jews to kill certain peoples totally when they were at war. It did not tell them to kill 'unbelievers' carte blanche. It told them not to put up with false teaching and false prophets among themselves, yes, and not to intermingle closely (e.g. marriage, etc. in essence allowing strong influence on oneself) with unbelievers.

My take is THIS...
Not all christians are christians.. and not all muslims are muslims..
You can put puppies in an oven in a muffinpan, but that don't make them Muffins..

Muslims faceing the <-sillyness of Islam, face challengeing their cultures and face being rejected by their familys, friends, and in some cases face death at the hands of those very same people....

Apostasy(leaving Islam) is punishable by death. Mohammed said, "Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him." Surah Vol. 9:57

Islam has a strong murderological base... ACT LIKE YOU BELIEVE IT OR DIE!...
cause if you don't die, you will be ostracized anyway..
