Thank you for the excellent updates, links,etc. I was frantic that we didn't have FR access when the hurricane was pounding the gulf!

I am stunned at the aftermath photos. I have been on a South Walton Coundy message board and the damage is truly heartbreaking. It looks like a yard or so of beach (from the ground up) is literally gone, and the dunes have pretty much vanished. Miles and miles of beachfromt homes are tottering on cliffs created by Dennis. This is in an area that you see nothing about on the news...Highway 30A between Panama City and Destin. I can only imagine how bad it is in harder hit areas. The devastation is amazing. Good luck to all affected and I am so sorry about those beaches. I hope the homes can all be saved but sadly I think some will be lost. They look like a good wind will toss them into the sea )o:
