More "jobs that Americans won't do"???
Welcome to the third world...

"maestro ~ Chinese Troops to follow?" I can't prove it, but I would bet that some members of these "drilling crews" are probably PLA and/or chinese intel.
As we speak; the "free traitors" are sippin' brandy, smokin' cigars, and patting themselves on the back for a job well done./sarcasm
Call me disgusted!!

Because the bastards in charge are cheap, that's why, that's all. With foreign labor, no 401K, no health care, no workman's comp., no overtime, etc. Come on, we ALL know the answer to this one.

Yep, it's a BS statement or doublespeak.

The next paragraph in the article is the most important:
"Western Energy is working with the China National Petroleum Corp., he said., but a partner in the venture, Golden Bear Drilling and Services Corp., is entirely American owned. A subsidiary of China National, Jilin Petroleum USA of Denver, no longer has an interest in Golden Bear, he said."
It sounds like it is not just Chinese workers, but a company owned by the Chinese government, competing with American companies, for the right to do gas exploration in our country.
It's sounds like a round about way to tell us that the Chinese government is buying into our natural gas resources. We've recently been told about a company at least partly owned by the Chinese government trying to purchase Unocal and now we hear they are getting into natural gas exploration.

Half the chinese here are spying on us.
The other half are spying on them.

Looks like the Parachute Valley is about to undergo another boom cycle.
The wise investor would sell this one short.

Can't we just tell 'em the railroad is finished? LOL. There's always a need for cheap and efficient laundries.

There's no treason in our government. Hey, with the globalists, it seems anything goes.

They bought more than one steel mill. The mill in Compton, no, you may be right, in Fontana , had fed steel to the nearby auto factory.

There already are Americans doing these jobs. That is a scam to get the Chinese rig crews in. Then they can undercut the labor market, and we really won't have any American roughnecks.
Why? Because in an industry which has gone down the crapper at least once a decade, you get paid well when you can, because you'll need the money to get through the tough times. We have at least one trainee on each crew, now, bound eventually for other rigs. There is no shortage of applicants.
Americans can and will do the work. Just label everything in English!

" The cost of drilling in Colorado has nearly doubled since last year, EnCana officials said. Rates increased from $8,500 per day to $14,000 per day in one year." It is all over, not just Colorado. We don't have the 'Queen's Minerals' here in the States, so prices fluctuate more than they do in Canada. So do wages.
I have worked in the Pieance Basin, on an American Rig, with American crews. The crap about Americans not being able to do the job is pure, unadulterated Bullsh!t.
