BEIJING, July 9 - After more than a year of stalemate, North Korea agreed Saturday evening to return to disarmament talks late this month and pledged to discuss eliminating its nuclear-weapons program, according to senior Bush administration officials.

The agreement was reached during a dinner meeting, with the Chinese as the hosts, that included Christopher Hill, a former American ambassador to South Korea who has recently become the lead United States negotiator to the talks, and Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea's deputy foreign minister, according to a senior administration official traveling here with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Suddenly they want to talk. Here are my questions. Are they buying time to finish their work on atomic weapons? Have they sold fissle material to terrorist groups and want to have the appearance of "clean hands" after the terrorists use that material?

Screw talking.

We'll talk using carpet bombs.

NICE TAG-LINE. Good to see you still have it.

Carpet bombs are good...but a small nuclear "accident" while they were attempting a "test" would be far better.

I dunno but I'm hoping that they've noticed that things are shaping up in Iraq & that Bush might be ready to move on to the next item on his 'To Do' list.

No, they are just hungry. I'm sure they are looking for food with no intent on giving up any nuclear material.

It is not the giving up the nukes that disturbs me. They will never do that...it is the selling of material to the long bearded smelly ones that concerns me. They just need a way to cover their butts when one of the members of the religion of pieces light one off in the West somewhere.
