They would be welcome to camp in our lower field. There are trees for them to pitch their tents under, and plenty of rabbits for the stew pot.
Now...saying that, they should not presume they can tell me not to show up carrying a Glock 17 and cradling my Remington 870 tactical shotgun.
All of you are forgetting radiation hormesis: it has been repeatedly proven that 10,000 mrem a year would make us healthier and we'd live longer.
I would never evacuate. The risks are MUCH higher on the roads than closing windows, reducing air intake and waiting for the stupid little cloud of rad gas to dissipate. The fear-driven maniacs on the highways are guaranteed to kill more than if we all stayed put. Of course 30 years of mind-numbing propaganda by media and most textbooks has thoroughly mis-taught millions of Americans. As a result they will die needlessly in traffic jams.

And here's another reason to NOT evacuate after a dirty bomb.
Hurricane Dennis comments by Neil Boortz (11Jul05):
Many reporters asked residents why they didn't evacuate. There's one unspoken reason many of them didn't voice. If they left government bureaucrats would make it all but impossible for them to return. Today there will be thousands of people who want to get back to their homes, check for damage and start the recovery process. The government won't let them. Next time they'll just stay.
