The Jews have aptly been described as the miner's canary of civilization. When they're singled out for hatred and then for slaughter, it usually doesn't end with them. Those who hate the Jews hate the West. The Left is so blinded by Judeophobia that it does not see the real enemy in front of them. Yesterday's bombings in London were a wake-up call. It is fitting to recall John Donne's immortal words that no man is an island. England is not even an island any more and the hand of terror that once struck down Israelis has now struck down English men. Today the West faces a determined and deadly enemy and the lesson is that free peoples, in the face of the present danger, shall surely hang together or fall together. Israel has been but one front in the Islamofascist war against freedom and civilized existence. In this day and age, the West is literally fighting World War III. The only acceptable outcome is victory.
