Detonating the bombs instead of jamming them will save a ton of lives.
I would imagine it can clear minefields around the world also.

I once read that operatives once traveled the streets of Lebanon with suitcase-sized 'universal detinators' in the 1980s. They would set off car bombs prematurely, sometimes destroying the factories where they were being assembled.
