House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (Mo.) today issued the following statement regarding the attacks in London, England:
"Today the American people stand with our friends in Britain, as they have stood with us in many of our darkest hours.
"The terrorists attack those who stand for freedom and tolerance, as we in the U.S. experienced in the starkest terms on September 11, 2001.
"Now, as then, America stands against these cowardly attacks on innocent people, and we will not falter in our efforts to rid the world of this ideology of hatred.
"Our thoughts are with the victims and their families in London."
My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this horrilbe act.
Can't wait to hear what Chuck "Turban" Durbin has to say. My guess would be something along the lines of "they had it coming".
Uh, I meant Dick Durbin. Geez, gotta start getting those names right.
Yeah, who knows what is going to come out of that guy's mouth. He could learn a thing or two from Blunt that is for sure.
My prayers are answered, my sister and her family live near King's Cross station. Just received email from her, all okay. She was at home with the kids, husband rides a bicycle to work. I hope they find the evil b@sturds that placed the explosives.
Hopefully, those responsible will be in very teeny, weenie, itsy, bitsy pieces. It's a great act, but you can only do it once.
