It's not the Arubans per se. It's the lawyers. My guess is that the family would not have thought of something like this, were it not for the attorney(s).
If it were in the U.S., I doubt there would be a case. Don't know Aruban law on this subject though.

I have total sympathy for the mother and her loss, but she is even turning me off. We don't take people's freedom because the victim's mom says so. Thank god.

I don't know what secret information you are talking about, and I guess you don't either. She is emotional and I don't blame her. But her behavior is turning from helping her situation to hurting it.
Late Wednesday, a lawyer for the Holloway family said the comments reflected "a mother's desperation after weeks of trying to find her daughter. When emotion kicks in, reason kicks out."
