European nations tightened security after today's deadly bombings struck London, fearing more attacks across the continent.
Italian Interior Minister Guiseppe Pisanu said all of Europe had raised its alert level.
Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero said he had ordered the Interior Ministry to activate 'all of the alert and prevention systems.'
Italy's civil aviation authority placed all Italian airports on maximum alert level.
French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin but France on the second highest level of security after convening with his defence, interior and foreign ministers.

Wait a minute!!!! France and Spain went onto alert? Why? Spain pulled out of Iraq after 3/11 and France never went into Iraq...why would they be at risk? Could it be that Iraq isn't the catalyst? Just a thought...

I heard that Denmak and Italy were directly threatened. It's fine that Europe is on red alert today...will they be on red alert 9, 10 months from now when trouble hits? We forget and grow complacent so quickly.
Why Denmark, do they still have troops in theatre?

I thought Spain was safe because after the terrorists bombed their train, they all rushed off to the voting booths and elected a communist who withdrew their troops from Iraq. Hmmmm...could it be that appeasing the terrorists didn't make them safe?
