I didn't say to do nothing; I'm all for filing as many reports as necessary.

I just think that they get filed, forgotten, misplaced etc and rarely land in the hands of the people who could actually have an impact.

I'm skeptical, that's all.

I don't blame you for being skeptical but isn't it more satisfying to know at least you tried to do what makes sense rather than the opposite? Maybe it is nothing or maybe it is important. I think the right folks will be receptive.
