Breaking news - Governor Romney has just announced the threat level has been elevated to orange in Boston and four other cities.
I would call Homeland Security and report this (especially in the wake of elevating Atlanta to orange). I'm sure Atlanta 911 has its hands full with what THEY consider more important things.
NYC remains on an elevated orange alert level and has since 911. It has never been lowered.
It sounds like he is looking to be arrested so he can sue for discrimination.
I just heard a female caller to a local radio station say "These people suffer more than any of us can imagine" and similar gut-wrenching statements in defense of these animals.
Hmm, curious then why Romney would single NYC out as anything special.
What's happening in NYC? Increased police presence at the train stations, in the subways?
My wife works in Buckhead.
Urban renewal...?
I got into the city around 8:30. You could see they were starting to ramp up security as the London story unfolded.
NJ heightens security after London attacks

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) Security was increased at New Jersey's transit stations and business centers Thursday morning, hours after a series of terrorist attacks rocked London's subway and bus system, reportedly killing and injuring scores of people.
At Newark's Penn Station, a state police helicopter was hovering overhead shortly after 7 a.m., checking the building and surrounding tracks for anything suspicious. Authorities blocked off the pickup/drop-off lane in front of the station that taxis and buses use, and uniformed officers were scurrying to each platform and in and out of the businesses and shops inside the station.
Bomb-sniffing dogs were deployed at Penn Station, Hoboken and the Secaucus transfer station......

BOSTON --Gov. Mitt Romney on Thursday raised the security level on Boston's transit system as a precaution after a terrorist attack on London's subways and buses killed dozens of people and injured hundreds.
Romney said there was no specific intelligence about any threat to Boston or the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority system. The heightened security level is similar to the "Code Orange" used by federal authorities.
The governor said he raised the alert at 6:15 a.m., following the London explosions. At 7:40 a.m. the U.S. Homeland Security Department asked authorities in major U.S. cities for heightened vigilance of transportation systems, Romney said.
It is the first time such an alert has been issued by state officials, though federal Code Orange alerts have led to increased security on the regional transit system, notably after the Madrid train bombings last year. Boston.com
Sorry for the harsh response. I thought I read something different. However, you will find said support in pockets everywhere, not just Boston nor SF.
I was in Boston on 9/11 and I can tell you there wasn't a single person siding with AQ (not that many ever heard of AQ at that time).
Americas largest islamic center was recently finished in the area.
Also all cities with large subway systems.

Thank you. Every piece of info is helpful when loved ones are away from home!
Some of the "pockets" have already been heard on the air on radio talk shows this very morning. "What did we do to make them mad?....we must understand their ways"...blah blah blah..
Those are the "supporters" of which I speak.
It is a tough day for all...no need to apologize. Without forums like this we might all be out shooting "things".

having trouble with server, so having trouble responding to FR.
I saw this man at Piedmont Center, taking photos of Wyngate Hotel, Manor Condos, intersection of Lenox and Piedmont (near 400).
My cell phone doesn't take photos. I'm trying to find photos of al quaida suspects to see if I recognize his face while it's fresh in my mind.
Stop wasting time.
Let the experts show you pictures.
Simply report this to someone.
"What did we do to make them mad?....we must understand their ways"...blah blah blah..
This is just nauseating. Had all Americans and Euros been behind Bush and Blair from the beginning, we'd be further along in the WOT right now. They've done nothing but hinder and undermine the valiant efforts that have been made.
Oh. Maybe the A10s are going to give it America's largest sunroof...?
