I wonder if it also comes with a flamethrower.

Is it a swiss army sentry? Wonder if it will have a scissor and toothpick attachment.

Yessss!

Why don't they just surrender... that's what they really want to do.

Good, anything to reduce the number of our troops that will die-in-place if the NKs go nuts and start coming across the border.
Preferably, they'll deploy thousands of these things.

Clever device! We need these on OUR border!

The sooner the better. My son is a translater stationed in S. Korea. The sooner SK takes responsibility for its own defense the better I like it. We have been there WAY too long.

Good post. My question is does S. Korea really want to be responsible for there own defense? Do you see S. Korea ever asking America to ever leave? I have a hard time seeing the S. Korea's asking the U.S. to leave because of all the money it pumps into there economy.

Good point. I suppose they have been too busy in recent years building factories, etc.,. I wonder what our trade deficict is with them? A partial solution would be to send them a bill for defense services.

A better reason would be to give the NKers second thoughts about pouring over the border - in the initial exchange, they'll lose hundreds or thousands or men to these bots, and the South Koreans will just lose a bunch of bots.
Apparently it really sucks when you have to face getting killed by a bot and don't have a chance to kill the operator or the guy responsible.

Good reason. I always get a warm happy feeling when I read about the military using a predator drone to take someone out. It's gotta be massively frustrating to the other side to know they are getting it from hardware.

The US military really likes bots and drones, too.
As one commander put it, writing a letter to a dead soldier's parents is a lot harder than writing a letter that runs thus:
"Dear General Dynamics; I regret to inform you that your robot, serial number 388711824789, was destroyed in combat with enemy forces. Please send four more."

What happens when the "bot" runs through that 30rd magazine?

I believe that that's just a development unit. I surmise that they're limiting the amount of damage the thing can do if the trigger mechanism gets stuck (while they're working the bugs out). I'd rather have a 30 round runaway than a 500 round runaway.
It looks perfectly capable of mounting a light or medium beltfed machine gun.

It switches to flame thrower.
