A SHAKEN British Prime Minister Tony Blair said today that London had been hit by a series of "barbaric" terrorist attacks. Mr Blair said he planned to leave a G8 summit of world leaders in Scotland shortly and return to London, but he said he would fly back to the Gleneagles meeting later on today.
"It's reasonably clear there have been a series of terrorist attacks," a sombre-looking Mr Blair said in his first comment in the wake of blasts which rocked London earlier today.
"Our determination to defend our values and our way of life is greater than their determination to cause death and destruction on innocent people to impose their extremist values on the civilised world," Mr Blair said.
That's true. I wonder how long they archive the tapes for. I'm hoping they have video of people setting the devices, whether they blew themselves up or set the charges for later detonation. Everytime you think something is unimaginable...
I met one of the Brits that setup a lot of the video gear in that area. They will have extensive video records. They may not show all of them, but they will have them.
That's one of the scary things watching this. The secondary devices that may have been planted to wait for the medical support personnel.
The Brits and Aussies are tough, they will not waver or flinch. Remember, London was devestated by Nazi bombing raids during WWII, and IRA terrorist attacks during the 70's and 80's, and they NEVER gave up, NEVER. God Bless those who were killed and injured today, God Bless the people of London, and God Bless Tony Blair.
