D.C. Metro system on higher alert. High visibility patrols and extra man power this morning.
I'd imagine the airports are almost on lockdown.
Yep, might be someone eating a jelly donut! I doubt they could stop anything else!
I was in DC last Friday, and went to the LOC. Downtown was fraught with LEO's, armed, and flak-jacketed, as usal these days.
I parked near Union Station, and walked the four blocks. Going past the Senate Office Bldg, I spotted several of our Senators, with staff, on the sidewalks, moving rapidly (lunchtime).They jumped into their waiting, black Suburbans, and fled off, with SS guys in the front seats.
I could have driven past, and gotten away with murder! My towncar can carry a lot of weight.
I wondered why they don't use the underground entrances? I wondered who actually pays atention to the details, besides the enemy?
I try to stay away from DC, these days, until really necessary, and DON'T use Metro!!!
