Thanks, I was just going off the headline and what I heard this morning on TV before leaving the house. How many bombs were there? Any update on number of casualties (although that will probably change quite a bit in the next few days)?

From the emergency services briefing at 3 pm local (10 am Eastern) -

- 4 bombs total (3 in subways, 1 on a bus - could we have a title update please?).
- 33 confirmed dead from the subway blasts, an unknown number from the bus blast.
- 300 injured.
- Nobody left trapped in the subways.

We can all be grateful that we have a forum such as FR to give us the latest news, including updates from the field as posted by FReepers living in areas where breaking news occurs.

Remember the Islamists attacked the WTC TWICE.

I will bet dollars to donuts, the organizers are going to redo this attack in an effort to make the underground collapse as intended.
