I have a Democrat friend, who is going to Europe shortly. I don't even want to talk to her! She will blame Bush for this, and I'm NOT in the mood to hear it.

For the record isn't Cheney divested from Haliburton and his investments held in a blind trust while he's VP?
I know he has retirement payouts from Haliburton but those payments are insured by a private company(premiums paid by Cheney himself) so Cheney gets paid no matter what Haiburton does.

I think so. As has been said on TV earlier this morn, London is quite accustomed to bomb threats, particularly to their subway system.
I spent about a month in London almost 12 years ago, and remember that subway stations were closed and evacuated several times in the short time I was there, when bombs were detected.

Walking wounded leaving Edgware Road tube station in London, Thursday July 7, 2005 after an explosion. Half a dozen explosions rocked the London subway and tore open a packed double-decker bus during the morning rush hour Thursday, police said. At least two people were killed and nine injured in the nearly simultaneous blasts, and officials shut down the entire underground transport network. (AP Photo/Edmond Terakopian/PA)

Even a quasi police state like the USSR/Russia cannot prevent attacks from Chechen terrorists.

Oh sure, it's all Blair's fault...

All the terrorists are in Iraq, the media told me that. Why should he have been concerned? (sarcasm off)
