Sons of the Revolution and Daughters of the Revolution. I have thought about it since I think the grandchildren might enjoy it. I do not know anyone who belongs to either. There is so much data a person has to offer to join either these days. That is why I was wondering if it were worth the trouble to join for them.

My father didn't want my sister or I to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. (DAR) Back then, it was a segregated and racist organization.

Like most things, it has probably evolved and not a stuffy, holier than thou place anymore.

Although it pleased Dad we never joined, I am not sure he was aware that we may not have been eligible anyway because at that time all 4 of your grandfathers had to be native born Americans, and our mother's father was naturalized.
