Now I understand you. If they want to force the families to keep slaves 'alive' that's their business. If they want to force families to kill the slaves, again that's their business. But do not misread the federal Constitution to forward your agenda nationwide. The power to do so is not in there, nor was it ever.
Well considering your hyperbolic statement, it is apparent you don't. The 13th Amendment banned slavery. However the 14th Amendment did not mean the Bill of Rights applied to the states as well. At least not until 30 years after its passage
