The Schiavo Autopsy Results: Terri Dailies July 6
Accuracy in Media-Media Monitor ^ | July 6, 2005 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 07/06/2005 10:50:06 AM PDT by 8mmMauser

Several bloggers have drawn attention to a strange lead in a Washington Post story about the Terri Schiavo autopsy results. The June 16 Post story by David Brown said that "Terri Schiavo died of the effects of a profound and prolonged lack of oxygen to her brain on a day in 1990, but what caused that event isn't known and may never be, the physician who performed her autopsy said…"

That is my favorite pic. That was the one on our banner we hung in front of the anti-Terri gaggle. I have a hard time looking at it without getting emotional.

Do you know the huge sign of Terri and her mom from 2003? Nobody knows what happened to it. I spose someone sold it on e-bay.

I'm waiting patiently for Cheryl Ford's book to come out.

The Seminole Tribe has a Hard Rock Hotel and gambling by Tampa. In the past, Floridians have gotten to vote on gambling. We didn't vote on euthanasia though so you just never know. If Trump does get gambling in Florida, it won't make the Seminole Tribe very happy.

No, maybe it will show up. So many excellent signs and artworks just wound up in the mud or trash.

I do believe Cheryl's book is ready to go, now as a threshold just passed a couple hours ago. We should hear any time. I am standing by.

"Did you notice that none of these journalists EVER ASK THE DISABLED COMMUNITY what they think about the Schiavo "effect"? It seems to me that this is about them."

Great point!!

Also, if I ever become severely disabled, I think I'll move to Louisiana.

I've been thinking like you for a long time, that Bush would give conservatives a Constructionalist with his first pick, and the next time he picks a nominee, might pick someone like his friend Gonzales. Hope I'm wrong.

The next time someone from SCOTUS resigns, we need to keep the pressure on. Maybe next time we need to contact Karl Rove, as well as President Bush, because Rove as a political person, knows this will define the Republican Party.

FV, thank you for your timely reports about the storm. I appreciate that you gave us the initial report when you had little to go on, you identified your source, and you made it clear that some of it was unconfirmed. Thank you also for the follow-up reports, and for being very clear and accurate.

Cavanman, learn some manners. Honesty wouldn't hurt either.

And I don't think he was attacking you personally, just pointing out that the sources themselves were rather stupid.

I can't agree that the emergency workers are stupid. The stupid people are the ones who complain about Freepers posting sources and facts as they become available. I don't know if it's because they're so stupid they think it's bad to post the facts as they become available, or if they're so stupid they can't read what was posted. Either way, it's not the first responders who are stupid.

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence issued the following statement today regarding the death of Terri Schiavo:

"I grieve today with the Schindler family and millions of Americans at the death of their precious daughter, Terri Schiavo. With her death, America lost not only a precious citizen, America lost its innocence.

"Although Terri Schiavo's life may be over, the debate over the rights of incapacitated Americans is not over. Congress must right this wrong by ensuring that incapacitated Americans may not be deprived of their inalienable right to life without the assurance of the due process of law that our federal courts were established to protect. NEW FROM LAST NIGHT 10:00 PM EST - Kelly Ring anchor reporting Fox Channel 13, Tampa Bay: It gets even worse. The State of Florida didn't forfeit 60 million dollars from the Medicaid program. Somehow the State of Florida, hold on, removed/diverted/? ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN MILLION from the Medicaid program. The broadcast last night did not utter a word about the funds going into Florida's general fund. Their first report said the money went to the state's general fund.

Since Terri's passing, disabled children and adults have received letters from Medicaid that their services under Medicaid "are stopped". The Medicaid patients are told by Medicaid that they have no money but they fail to say why they have no money.

So, imo Medicaid is playing along with the State about the money. They interviewed a guy last night who has some developmentally disabled problems and he gave his own interview to Fox 13. He did a great job on camera.

They showed his Medicaid "stop" letter on Fox 13 and this guy's mom said that Medicaid told them that the state of Florida can only serve 40 clients (per year?). IN A STATE THE SIZE OF FLORIDA. So, the guy from last night is on the infamous waiting list. He'll finally get help in 250 years.

What was the State's comment? No comment.

The "stop" letters went out after Terri's death which may just be a cruel irony.

Where's the money? And, here's the other problem: Crist is supposed to investigate and stop fraud which he hasn't, and Tom Gallagher is Fla's Chief Financial Officer. They are running against each other for governor and this is a huge scandal.

I applaud Fox 13 for their ongoing coverage of this huge scam against the citizens of Florida. Fox 13 is the only MSM covering this.

If anyone is in contact with media, mainstream or not, please pass this along. The guy they interviewed last night might not be around for his medical treatment in 250 YEARS!

Haven't we heard phrases like "the money is gone" before? HINO's lawyer told the media the money was gone. Now Medicaid is borrowing from their playbook. What is the meaning of the word "gone"?.

Thanks for passing this along and at some point, please contact yout US Senator/Congresscritter. 115 mil ain't hay, neither are allegations that the State of Florida and Medicaid has defrauded it's citizens. And, don't forget that many disabled people and their families PAY TAXES.

Please help Floridians because someone in your state might try this.

WHAT WE KNOW AT THIS POINT:

1. Disabled Floridians (some wards of the state or who have guardians) are being put on a long waiting list (250 yrs) and are being misled by Medicaid.

2. Over fifty agencies are suing the State of Florida over this.

3. Individuals are suing the State of Florida over this.

This post is a Call to Action. If you can help, thanks, FV

Judge denies blind voters' request for touchscreen machines

ORLANDO, Fla. - A federal judge denied a request by blind voters for touchscreen voting machines in Volusia County that would have allowed them to cast their votes in secret.

U.S. District Judge John Antoon II issued a six-page ruling Thursday that said previous court cases and existing federal law do not require equipment for visually disabled people to vote independently.

The National Federation of the Blind sued the county's election supervisor earlier this month after a majority of County Council members voted against a grant-funded contract to spend $776,935 for 210 touchscreen machines and related equipment from Diebold Election Systems.

The plaintiffs claimed the optical scan system the county currently uses denies them equal access because it forces them to get help to cast a vote.

Antoon said the state's Electronic Voting Systems Act authorizes the use of electronic voting systems and provides standards for certifying that equipment, but does not require the county to purchase accessible voting machines for elections after July 1.

Elections Supervisor Ann McFall said the judge's ruling allows her to hold municipal elections this fall without adding touchscreens to the county's paper-based system.

"We think the ruling is completely wrong, and we're extremely disappointed," said James Gashel, a spokesman for the National Federation of the Blind. "We're not disappointed enough to drop the matter."

An attorney representing the advocacy group, Daniel F. Goldstein, said he would appeal to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta.

Volusia County, home to Daytona Beach, is located about 35 miles northeast of Orlando.

Sounds like taxation without representation to me and discrimination. Sounds liek they don't want the blind to vote because they might vote against bad politicians and judges.

Well, it's our duty in our spare time to point out to the world that Florida is corrupt until someone actually does something about it.

Your post 13 re: Freeper Poll. It's more accurate than a StPeteTimes-Miami Herald or Quinnipac poll any day.

(check out my posts today on the alleged Medicaid fraud in Florida by Medicaid and the State of Florida.) It's reaching critical mass.

The new release OurFight4Terri is coming out soon. We'll keep info on the book updated on this thread.
