CORRECTION:

I think the ring was worth $50,000, not $5,000.

Also I think Svend Robinson is the author of Bill 38, the gay marriage legislation just passed in Canada.

He may be, but I think he left before it was authored, even put on the table. Which makes it doubtful. Still, I'd be interested to know if he did write it. Another reason to resent the bill even more.
