Bloomberg should have known that NYers don't want the Olympics here. Bloomberg just doesn't get it.

it would have been hell, but we could have endured it - and it would have been a good economic program for the city.
supposedly, NYers "didn't want" 600 million to be spent on the west side stadium. but 350 million for new stadiums in the Bronx and Flushing - and NYers apparently want that? that's going through without even a peep.
in NYC, its the media spin on any issue that seems to determine "public opinion". so we will spend 350 million in Flushing and the Bronx to build two stadiums that people will flee from as soon as the games are over, that will bring no economic development to those areas - while continuing to live with an huge open pit with a train yard in it on the west side of Manhattan.
I think it'll take some time for him to adjust to this revelation.
