Umm,the Kilo class D/Es are renowned for their quietness when submerged.

I am no expert but... Some subs are very quiet almost silent. However no sub is quiet when not properly maintained. I am sure the hulls have to have proper maintenance to remain almost silent and I some how feel these subs are probably not getting the best maintenance

I stand corrected on my use of ‘loud.’ ‘Quiet’ and ‘loud’ are relative terms. I meant ‘loud’ relative to ours.

But do you really thing anything they have could leave Bandar-e Abbas without us knowing about it? I still say relax , Iran has had these subs over 10 years. This is no problem.

They are probably a better shallow water boat than our nuke subs. Any former sub people out there would know better than I do.

They are a problem, but I'm sure that if need be, the US could find a solution to them
