Cool idea.

Reminds me of a Sci-Fi story (Heinlein?) about moon (or maybe even Mars) colonists who get treated to the old "taxation without representation" delio

They don't possess offensive weapons (or do they?). They put together a "catapult" system that flings over-sized clods of rock at the Earth (with devastating results).

Low-tech solution to high-tech problem.......

The residents of the Moon are tired of being an oppressed colony of Earth and decide to fight with kinetic energy weapons. They launch big rocks from the moon, one by one, and let them fall on various targets on the Earth, making very large craters, until recognized as sovereign.
