In other news, charges against a NY hitman have been dropped when it was learned the contract was rescinded.

Maybe, but it's more likely that he got out of the way for Richard Nixon's son in law, who apparantly wants to take on the you-know-what.

I'd like to see Colin Powell make a run at it...

No, I think all the Republicans will drop out of the 2006 Senate race in NY and Hillary will be largely unopposed. The GOP lacks the desire to defeat her -- it's too tough a task!

It continues to amaze me that Hillary Clinton is the front running candidate for President -- Who is she? What has she done? What kind of record does she bring to the contest? And why oh why does she have such a following? What do they point to as her greatest strengths? Her greatest accomplishments? Her greatest patriotism? In short, what has she done for America? If you know, please share.

Not when you consider how her poll numbers tank when the issue of her not serving out her term is raised...

Fear and common sense wins out.

I think you need a celebrity type. Whoever runs against her will be against her financial fundraising power and the shrill of the core democrats.

IOW a Lazio is not going to cut it. Any 3rd tier candidate running against her is a waste of time.

Guilliani may be the only way to stop her from being president, and he can do that only by defeating her for her Senate seat. He'd lose to her in a race for president.

He didn't want to show up mysteriously in Macombs Dam Park.

But there are plenty of people that someone has actually heard of who could give Hitlery a run for her money. Some will do it, some won't, some won't even be approached:

Jeanine Pirro
Lew Lehrman
Phil McConkey
Joe Holland

among others

Gee, I'm sure Hillary was quaking in her boots, just as I'm sure she is over that other lose, Cox. she is basically a shoo-in. Only Pataki could even challenge her. Rudy could beat her, but he is too important for anything less than VP.

Her poll numbers go south when respondants are asked about her refusal to serve out her term. That's true even with her supporters. She could lose a re-election bid.

Y'all are forgetting one key fact.
It is Bill Clinton running too.
The old two fer'
Any idiot white male that voted for Bill in the past will vote for the Misses' believing that Bubba is really in control.
Add to that the media adulation and it is downright scary.

Another thing that's being forgotten, overlooked, or down-right ignored is the concept that Republicans/Democrats are all in this together.

They may not like each other,...but no one could feasibly argue that 90% of them (regardless of party affiliation) are in this for two things:

1. Power (absolute power)

2. One world Government - open borders - etc.

Flame on, if you like, folks, but no one can point to a legitmate thing that any one of these people have done to return this nation to its Constitutional foundings of limited government and conservative principle. NOT ONE!

The bottom line,...is it's simply that evil b*tch's turn.

That is exactly what I've been saying here.

Bill wants back in very, very badly.
How does Secretary of State Clinton sound?

He controls a very dangerous machine, and will be a huge factor in fund raising.

Name one dummie/left wing loon/MSM socialist trash/ hollywood weirdo/democrat who wouldn't love to say "President Clinton" for another 8 years.

Seeing the impotence of our Senate leadership, we may very well be saying it, as well.

I'm quite worried, and the only way that I see to stop the Clinton MSM victory train, , other than Condi entering the fray, is to smack her down in 06.

Pataki or Rudy would be the way to go, as neither of them have a snowball's chance in hell of getting the nomination in 08.

As far as selecting Rudy for VP, that would ensure the loss.
NY is going Democratic unless a comet slams into Manhattan and kills all life there.
Notice that slamming aircraft into the city in an open and outright attack on unarmed citizens did not deliver the state.

Neither will Rudy.

I can't think of one thing that would aid, abet, and further those aims more than the election of Hillary Clinton.

People who voted for Bill Clinton still admire the man, believe in him, and want Hillary to bring them the goods that Bill failed to deliver. To these people, the Clintons are secular gods.
